The Qur’an Program is a three year degree program dedicated to covering the translation and commentary of the entire Qur’an using classical sources. The focus of the program will be two-fold: to understand the meanings and teachings of the Qur’an and to derive practical lessons and insights relevant to daily life – both ultimately with the purpose of increasing our connection with Allah swt and furthering our spiritual development.
The course will begin with introductory sessions devoted to understanding the field of the Qur’anic sciences, including topics such as the concept, types and causes of revelation, compilation of the Qur’an, and the classical tools and methodology for the proper interpretation of the verses.
SCHEDULE
- Starting: July 2024
- Monday – Wednesday
- 3 hours per week 1 PM NY, 10 PM PK, 9 PM UAE, 5 PM UK
- Recordings of all LIVE sessions are also available.
- Annual Exams: Last Week of June, 2025
- Summer Break: 1st July to 30th July 2025 (tentative)
- Time Commitment: 2.5 hours per week

FAQ's
There is no fee. All courses offered by Maryam Institute are free of charge.
Yes, attendance is regularly marked for the Qur’an Program. In order to qualify for the diploma at the end of 2.5 years, students need to maintain at least 80% attendance.
Yes. Those students who wish to receive a diploma at the end of 2.5 years need to give Annual Exams.
This course has been designed to cater to working women, students and housewives alike, so we do understand that there may be occasions when you may not be able to attend class for genuine reasons. In such scenarios, we provide recordings so that students may catch up with the classes they have missed.
Yes. You can choose to enroll as a listener if you wish. Listeners, however, will not receive any certification from Maryam Institute.
Recordings are available for all classes.
