Course Description

Surah Yūsuf is a timeless narrative of love, loss, betrayal, patience, resilience, and divine victory. More than just a story, it is a blueprint for navigating life’s deepest trials with dignity, faith, and emotional intelligence.

In this transformative course, students will journey verse-by-verse through Surah Yūsuf. Each session blends rigorous scholarship with practical lessons on personal growth, relationships, emotional healing, family dynamics, leadership, and tawakkul.

By the end of the course, students will see how Allah weaves wisdom into every hardship—and how the story of Yūsuf (عليه السلام) teaches us to shine through betrayal, rise after injustice, and trust Allah’s plan even when life makes no sense.

Weekend Online Program for Kids

A weekend maktab designed to help children learn the fundamentals of Deen: Aqidah, Tafseer, Fiqh, Seerah, and Adab in a fun and interactive way. Our goal is to nurture a love for Allah and His Messenger, build strong character, and develop a positive Islamic identity. We aim to instill Islamic values that guide them throughout their lives and inspire them to practice their faith with confidence and sincerity.

Course Outline: Fall Semester 2026

Our Islamic Studies for Kids (ISK) curriculum is designed to nurture a strong foundation of Islamic knowledge, faith, worship, and love for Allah ﷻ and His Messenger ﷺ. Students will study essential areas of Tafsīr, Fiqh, ʿAqāʾid, Stories of the Prophets, and Sīrah in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

Tafsīr

Students will develop a meaningful connection with the Qur’an by studying selected sūrahs and verses, with a focus on understanding their meanings, lessons, and relevance to daily life.

Tafsīr of Sūrah al-‘Alaq to Sūrah al-Fajr
Selected stories from the Qur’an, with a focus on their meanings, lessons, and practical applications

Fiqh

Students will learn practical rulings that help them worship Allah correctly and confidently, with attention to the situations they may encounter in daily life.

Prohibited and disliked times of ṣalāh
Congregational ṣalāh
Jumu‘ah ṣalāh
Qaḍā’ ṣalāh
Ṣalāh of the musāfir (traveler)

ʿAqāʾid — Islamic Beliefs

Students will develop a sound understanding of the fundamental beliefs of Islam, strengthening their faith in Allah ﷻ and their understanding of the unseen.

Sīrah — Prophetic Biography

The Madani Era

Students will study the Madani period of the life of our beloved Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ, beginning with his arrival in Madīnah and continuing through the major events, challenges, victories, and lessons of this period.

Through these subjects, students will not only gain essential Islamic knowledge but will also be encouraged to develop love for Allah ﷻ, connect with the Qur’an, follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, strengthen their Islamic identity, and bring Islamic teachings into their everyday lives.

Hadith

40 Hadith: Memorization, Translation, and Commentary

Students will engage with forty selected hadith that nurture faith, character, and Islamic manners.

Memorize forty selected aḥādīth in Arabic
Learn the translation of each hadith
Study a short, age-appropriate commentary explaining its meaning
