Breaking the Cycle of Anger: Raising Children Without Losing Yourself
Starting: Monday, June 22, 2026
Time: 1 PM EDT, 6 PM UK, 10 PM PK
Course Fee: USD 20
Taught by: Alimah Sobia Hasan
Duration: 04 Sessions
Course Description
Many mothers deeply love their children, yet find themselves reacting in ways they later regret. The constant demands of parenting, sleep deprivation, mental overload, emotional exhaustion, and unresolved personal triggers can make anger feel impossible to control.
Modern neuroscience has revealed that emotional outbursts are often not simply a matter of willpower. They are linked to stress responses, nervous system dysregulation, childhood conditioning, cognitive patterns, and emotional overwhelm. At the same time, the Qur’an and Sunnah provide timeless guidance on self-restraint, emotional intelligence, mercy, patience, and spiritual regulation.
This course brings together teachings from the Sunnah, contemporary psychology, neuroscience, and practical parenting strategies to help mothers understand the roots of anger and develop healthier ways of responding to their children.
Participants will learn how the brain processes anger, why certain parenting situations trigger intense emotional reactions, how emotional wounds influence parenting styles, and how to regulate themselves before correcting their children. Through self-reflection exercises, practical tools, prophetic guidance, and evidence-based techniques, mothers will learn how to create a calmer home environment while nurturing stronger connections with their children.
